Stanley Frederick "Rick" Grabowski, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026, in his home after a long illness.

The eldest of nine children born to Frances (DeVilbiss) Grabowski and the late Thaddeus J. Grabowski in Ludlow, MA, Rick came of age in Lancaster County, PA where he was a boy scout, president of the model car club, president of his junior high school student council, and finished second in his class (Salutatorian) 1966, Pequea Valley High School. He was best known as the singer and frontman of Rick and the Rivals throughout high school and college.

Rick was a proud graduate of Villanova University where he was a member of both the Villanova Singers and Spires. He worked as a personnel specialist at the U.S. Mint, Phila.; the Veterans Administration, Coatesville, PA; and the Internal Revenue Service, Phila. He overlapped careers from the mid '80s through the early '90s as an agent for early tech "luxury" cellular phone providers Bell Atlantic Mobile and Comcast Metrophone. He retired in 2005.

Residing in Montgomery Co. 1970-95, Rick kept musically active in local bands Narcisus, Metachron, Buzz, Maiden Voyage and Punch. He was married to Joanne (Rock) Grabowski from 1971 until her passing in 1991. They had two children, Kris and the late Phillip. Rick married Cathy Raupp in 1995. He was a member of the Bucks County Singers, the Beer Can Collectors of America (chapter president 2009-11), the Knights of Columbus, and was a faithful member, cantor and choir singer at Saint Michael The Archangel Church, Levittown, PA. Rick enjoyed multiple activities such as fitness classes at the Bristol Twp. Senior Center, Christian men's groups including, "Iron Sharpens Iron" and was a regular blood donor to the Red Cross.

Rick is survived by his wife Cathy Raupp, mother Frances (Grabowski) Miller, daughter Kris (Michael Theodoroff), step-son Michael Raupp (Mary), step-daughter Marie Raupp, grandchildren Jack, Caity, Leanna and Mikaela Raupp, great-grandson Dylan Raupp, sisters Peggy, Patti and Rhe, brothers T.J., Bill, John, Bob and Don and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. His family thanks Penn Medicine Hospice for their in-home services.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation at St Michael the Archangel on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, from 9:00-9:45 am. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Rick requested donations be made to the Villanova Singers at vusingerslegacy.org.
