Sherwood T. Summers

Sherwood “Woody” Summers, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2023.

He was born in Philadelphia, and since had been a longtime resident of Levittown, PA. Woody worked and retired as a baker with Nabisco and then most recently was an adored van driver for the BCIU. He loved helping others and took everyone under his wing. He also was the Judge of Elections and enjoyed being an active member of his community. 

Woody was preceded in death by his beloved wife Franny. He is survived by his children Chris Elliot, Beth Summers, Brenda Robinson, Shannon Wolf, Jeannine Morges (Ryan), Melinda Summers, and Christopher Summers. He is also survived by his grandchildren who he loved as fiercely as his own children; Alexus, Grayson, Judy, Bryan, Anthony, Phoenix, Emmalynn, and Conor. He also had a great granddaughter Izabella. 

Woody has touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing him. Most people who knew him fondly referred to him as “dad” or “pops” as he had an open door for all. 

Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 10 - 12 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Funeral service will begin at 12 pm.  Interment is private under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Harry S. Truman  Marching Band. Checks can be made payable to Harry S Truman Band Boosters, 3001 Green Lane, Levittown, PA19057.
