Ruth M. Corbit, a retired nurse and a devout Catholic, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Born on March 3, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Atco, New Jersey, graduating from Edgewood High School.
Ruth loved to read, enjoyed Broadway musicals, and was a fan of British mystery shows. She remained undefeated against her family in Jeopardy and was her granddaughter’s biggest cheerleader. She always put her family first, showing unconditional love and support even when she was too ill to physically be there.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Regina Algado (Alan), and her cherished granddaughter, Ella Cantwell; her sister, Marge Paul (Tony); her stepmother, Esther Corbit; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth (nee Brown) Corbit; her brother, William Corbit; and her son, John Algado. The memory of her warmth, kindness, and compassion will forever linger in the hearts of her family and friends.
Ruth lived a life filled with love, resilience, and care. As we celebrate her life, let us remember her for her unwavering dedication to others and her profound love for her family.
