Ron Muccie age 85, of Levittown, PA, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Son of the late Theresa (nee Straccio Eppolito) and Anthony Muccie, Ron was born in Bristol, PA and spent most of his life residing in Bristol and Levittown. Ron spent 25+ years traveling the world while working for US Steel. After leaving the steel mill, Ron went on to become a master carpenter, working for Toll Brothers while also diligently renovating not only his own house but the houses of his children, alongside his father Tony. Watching his beloved Eagles with his brother Anthony was one of the joys of his life and he passed on that passion for the Birds to his children and grandchildren.
His most prized accomplishment was his Glitter Plugs business in which for over 25 years he handcrafted custom fishing plugs. Ron will be remembered as a legend by his fishing family at the Berkeley Striper Club and for always bringing a smile to the shores of Island Beach State Park. He was known as a generous mentor and talented custom plug maker who will be missed by so many who spent time fishing with him throughout the years.
He loved his wife Kathy (nee Timberman) deeply and they spent many years traveling the country together. One of their favorite repeat destinations were the beaches of North Carolina where they would journey to frequently in their motorhome.
Preceded in death by his parents Theresa and Anthony, his first wife Dolores (nee Kaizer), his sister Lorraine and his brothers Danny and Anthony. One of the most important things to Ron was that his family remain close and always do things together. He will be deeply missed by his wife Kathy, his sister Dolores and his 9 children: Ronnie (Karen), Debbie (Jay), Michael, Michelle Marie (Tony), Michelle Ann (Brian), David, Joey, Donna, and Chrissy (Joe). His legacy will be honored through his 19 grandchildren and his 16 great grandchildren who will hold his memory near and dear to their hearts.
Honoring Ron’s request there will be no additional arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron’s name to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org/donation.
