Robert T. Taylor, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on July 14, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Robert lived a life marked by dedication to his family and service to his country.
He proudly served in the Army from 1966 to 1967, a period that shaped his values of commitment and resilience. These traits influenced his unwavering support for his loved ones and community, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew him. He also enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments and traveling with Sandy. His favorite cities to visit were Paris and Dublin. He especially loved his Philadelphia sports teams.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Magee-Taylor, and their cherished children: Jason Taylor, Shannon Taylor, Megan Taylor, Scott Magee, John Magee (Joanna) Kelly Spurlock (Randy). He took great joy in being a grandfather to Saige, Lexis, Ethan, Madilyn, Ryan, Shane, Jake, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Lauren, Brayden, Jack and Owen. His legacy continues with his great-grandchild, Ayden, who brought him immense happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose (nee Monahan) Taylor, as well as his two sisters and brother, Theresa Ward, Henry Taylor (Buddy) and Agnes Batzel. Their memories remain a treasured part of his life story.
A graveside service will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, located at 830 Highland Road in Newtown, Pennsylvania. The service is scheduled for Friday, January 9th, 2026, at 11:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to honor Robert's life and say their final goodbyes in a place that resonates with his spirit and dedication.
Robert will be remembered for his love, strength, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
