Robert N Liberatore Sr.

Robert N. Liberatore Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, accomplished businessman, and lifelong friend to many, passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2026, at the age of 88.

Bob shared 64 years of marriage with his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Mary Jo (Flatch). Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and friendship. He was a loving father to his son, Robert Jr., and his daughter, Cristine, and her husband, Michael, and a proud grandfather to Jake and Luke. He is also survived by his brother, Richard; his sister, Maria (Liberatore) Fields, and her husband, Fred; his brother-in-law, Francis Flatch, and his wife, Elaine; his sister-in-law, Donna (Flatch) Jones; his nephews and niece; and his extended family.

Bob grew up in Bristol, Pennsylvania, in a close-knit, multigenerational Italian family with his father, Angelo; mother, Mary (Caione); grandfather, Nicola; and his brother and sister. The values he learned there-family, loyalty, hard work, and perseverance-remained with him throughout his life.

Known to many as "Libby", Bob was a standout multisport athlete at Bristol High School and especially excelled in basketball. He became one of the leading scorers in Bucks County basketball history and was inducted into the Bucks County Hall of Fame in 2011.

His athletic ability earned him scholarship opportunities from more than 40 colleges and universities. Bob ultimately chose Villanova University, where he attended on a full basketball scholarship. Villanova became much more than a university to Bob, bringing him lifelong friendships and an enduring connection to the Villanova basketball family.

Bob carried the same determination and work ethic into his professional life, building a highly successful career as a top executive in the information technology industry.

Bob's greatest pride was the life and family he and Mary Jo built together. He treasured his children and grandchildren, valued his lifelong friendships, and remained deeply connected to the people who were important to him.

Bob lived a full life defined by family, friendship, achievement, and traveling the world. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to his visitation from 9:00-10:45am on Thursday October 1st, 2026 at St Ann Church 357 Dorrance St Bristol Pa 19007. Funeral mass will begin at 11am. Interment will follow in Bristol Cemetery.
