Patrick M Hottensen

Patrick M. Hottensen of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 13, 2023.  He was 42.  

A graduate of Truman High School, he pursued a career as a skilled auto mechanic.  After a long day of work he often spent his evening helping family and friends with repairs to their vehicles, assuring them peace of mind that the work would be done correctly.  It was a common occurrence that this long day would be followed by hours of jamming with friends. He will be sorely missed by his father and best friend Raymond, with whom he resided.  They enjoyed long rides on their Harley’s and cheering on the Eagles and Phillies.  Patrick also took great joy in caring for his recently passed dogs Max and Sam.   

A self-fulfilled avid hobbyist, he enjoyed snowboarding in the winter, boating in the summer, golfing, motorcycles, and ATV’s just to name a few.  

Patrick is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Dorothy Hottensen, his maternal great grandparents Peter and Helen Daciuk, paternal grandmother Sandy Russell and his best buddy and grandfather i.e. “George” Earl Russell. 

Pat is survived by his parents Lisha Hottensen and Raymond Russell along with his maternal grandfather Paul Hottensen, uncle Paul Hottensen (Maria), aunts Cathy Gerretz and Patricia Danaher (James), cousins John Hottensen, Cassie Hottensen, Eddie Gerretz, Bryan Gerretz, Sharee Parkhomchuk, Cory Tillia and many other extend family.

Although Pat’s life journey was fraught with challenges, he was never one to complain, as with his recent battle with stage 4 skin cancer. His passing was unexpected and has left us with only memories of his kind and gentle soul.  

Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 6  - 7:30 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Words of remembrance will begin at 7:30 pm. Interment is private under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.
