Norman E. O’Hara, Sr. of Croydon/Bensalem, Pa., passed away peacefully on February 18, 2021 at his son’s home in New Mexico. He was 96. Born in Moosup, CT, moved to Philadelphia and graduated N.E. High at 8th and Lehigh, Philadelphia, PA in 1943. Norman served in World War II for the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division from 1943 – 1946. He became a Patternmaker at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and in 1975 became an Apprentice Training Consultant for the Department of Labor. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Hulmeville, PA. Norman is preceded in death by his wife Florence O’Hara. He will be greatly missed by his children, Norman O’Hara, Jr. and his wife Nadine, Elaine Kawai and her husband Chris, Steven O’Hara and his wife Elmira, and his 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, August 20, 2021 from 9 – 10 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol -Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Funeral service will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
