Michael V. Huggard, Jr.

Michael V. Huggard Jr. born on January 31, 1961 in Philadelphia passed away on February 11, 2020 at the age of 59. Michael was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Stage IV liver cancer in July of 2019. With the support of friends and family he was able to fight through treatment over these past few months. On Tuesday, Michael’s battle came to a bittersweet end surrounded and comforted by close family at his side. While saying goodbye was not easy, friends and family are relieved to know he is no longer suffering or in pain.  Michael spent the better part of his life as a registered nurse, doing what he loved and helping others in the spirit of his Catholic faith that was central to who he was.  Michael was survived by his two daughters Jessica and Bridget, his siblings Monica Keller (Mark), Donna Bevan (Brian), Thomas, and Patrick (Aimee).  Michael is now at peace with both his parents Mary and Michael Huggard Sr., along with his siblings William Sr., Mary-Claire Miles, and beautiful niece Samantha.  Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, February 14, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm and again Saturday morning from 8-9 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 am at St Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
