Maryfrances A Coffey

Maryfrances “Murphy” Coffey Rote passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Jefferson Bucks Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 69.

Known affectionately as “Murph,” she marched to the beat of her own drum so when she met a man with a cannon, she was all in. In her younger years, Murph worked with horses before later serving as a bartender and waitress. However, her life was truly defined by the joy she brought outside of work. Known as “The Fun Aunt,” she was often the last one to leave family gatherings. Her gardens brought her great happiness and more tomatoes than anyone knew what to do with them.

Above all, it was the time she spent with Stephen that made her shine. Dressing in regimentals and manning the cannon every Christmas morning was exactly the kind of tradition Murph embraced wholeheartedly. Murph had strong opinions, a big personality, and a laugh that was loud and often. She was much loved and will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Murph’s life on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Broad Street Brewing, 2621 Durham Road, Bristol, PA 19007
