Mary Cordisco (nee Costantini) passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Sunrise Senior Living, in Yardley, Pa. She was 96.
Born and raised in Bristol, Mary was a longtime borough resident prior to moving to Yardley 12 years ago. Mary retired after 30 years of service with the 3M company.
She was a devout member of St. Ann Church, participating in various activities including the St. Ann Carnival, where she enjoyed making pizza fritta. She was proud of her Italian heritage. Prior to her illness, Mary was a member of the American Legion, the Golden Marks, and the Bristol Senior Center, where she organized the fashion shows.
Mary had a liveliness and zest for life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling over the years with family and friends and loved her visits with family at the Jersey shore. She possessed an abundance of wisdom, strength, determination, and compassion for others. She could complete any task or project that came her way.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years John (Brownie) and son-in-law Dennis Brown, as well as her parents Luigi and Domenica (nee Scancella) Costantini; and her siblings Joseph, Rose Reggi, Yolanda Kilkuskie, Louis, Mario, and Freddie.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Nicholas Cordisco (Karen), and daughter Nancy Brown. She was the beloved Nonna to Meredith Nowak (Alex), Stephanie Brown, Nicholas Brown (Ingrid); great grandchildren Bryce and Brooks Nowak; sisters-in-law Delores Costantini and Yolanda Costantini. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 10 – 11 am at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mark Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
The family is forever grateful for the support and care from Sunrise of Lower Makefield and the Infinity Hospice team.
