Kathleen J New

Kathleen J. New of Levittown, PA, completed her earthly journey in the place she called home for over 50 years on August 29, 2022, after a long battle with lung cancer.  Kathleen was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Earl H New, Jr, and by her siblings James H Jenkins and Sr Maria Virginia.  Kathleen is survived by her children, Earl J New (Jennifer), Kathy Geissel (Marc), John New, Karl New (Tracy), and Teresa New (John Hannan), who lovingly cared for her during her final days. She leaves her grandchildren, Roland New, Derek and Alex Geissel, Chase and Mia New, Kelsey New, and Johnny and Michael Hannan, all of whom she adored dearly. Kathleen also leaves her sister, Sr. Ginger Jenkins, and brother, John Jenkins, her sister- and brother-in-law Jan Jenkins and Joe O’Neill, along with so many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who brought her joy and happiness. 

The family is forever grateful for the support from the hospice team at Chandler Hall and their Aunt Ginger and Jeanie Shatoff, Kathleen’s lifelong friend, for their unwavering support and loving care during her final weeks. 

Visitors are welcome starting at 9:30 AM on September 2nd at Queen of the Universe Church in Levittown, PA. A mass celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 AM. Kathleen will be laid to rest at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
