June L Hixson

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of June L. Hixson (Calvani) on October 23rd at the age of 77.

June was a lifelong resident of Levittown and Bensalem, PA. She was the cherished daughter of the late Louis and Ruth Calvani, and she learned from them the importance of devotion to family. June had a deep interest in microbiology and worked in that field for most of her career. June and her late husband Bill were active members of the Lower Bucks County Dog Training Club, where they participated in many therapy dog activities. They particularly enjoyed visiting seniors at advanced care facilities with their devoted Labrador Retrievers Benny, Toby and Calie.

June was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, William W. Hixson. Bill was a heart and kidney transplant recipient. Throughout their lives, Bill and June were extremely grateful to the donors and their families. June will be remembered with love by her sisters Carol DeGennaro and Peggy Calvani, her brothers Richard Calvani and his wife Marianne, and John Calvani. To her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews:

Greg, Mark, Cindy, Jill, Christopher, Michelle, Ella, Lucy, Benjamin and Tyler, Aunt June would like you to know that she was very proud of you. She will also be greatly missed by her goddaughter Melissa Carson and several loyal friends.
