Judith A. Potena (née Martin) of Bristol, PA passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 89 years old.
Judith, lovingly known as Judy, was the heart of her family. She will be remembered for her gentle kindness, unwavering devotion to those she loved, and her lifelong passion for the Philadelphia Phillies. Judy had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and her warmth, humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Bristol High School, Judy spent many years working at K-Mart, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly nature.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Potena Jr.; her son, Alan Potena; her parents, Peter and Ardelle Martin; and her brothers, Peter, James, and Joel Martin.
Judy leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter, Carla Lenahan; her sons, James Potena III (Kathy) and David Potena; her grandchildren, Kerry Leddy (Kevin), Julie LaVerghetta (Michael), Peter Potena (Alicia), Philip Potena (Moriah), Michael Lenahan (Samantha), and Jamie Shaffer (Brandon); her great-grandchildren, Karter, Kolton, Kamryn, Kooper, Mila, Michael, Patrick, Riley, Elena, Luca, and Bennett; and her sister, Jill Campbell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services and interment are under the care and direction of Galzerano Funeral Home and will be held at a later date in St Mark Cemetery.
