Josephine Lavrigata

Josephine Lavrigata (nee: Marchetti), aged 100, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Josephine devoted her career to various roles, having worked at Kaiser in Bristol, PA, as a supervisor at Barker & William in Bristol, PA, at PKF in Newtown, PA, and within the Bensalem School District in Bensalem, PA

Beyond her professional endeavors, Josephine found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was surrounded by loved ones, concocting delicious meals in the kitchen, tending to her yard with care, or indulging in the thrill of a casino visit alongside her cherished sister Flo, Josephine's zest for life was ever-present.

Josephine is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband Vito and grandson Scott Shemeley. She is also preceded in death by her brothers John Marchetti (Millie), Angelo Marchetti (Rose), Nick Marchetti (Jenny), Anthony Marchetti (Jean), and Albert, as well as her sisters Jovie Casmirri (Domenic) and Florence Shelton (Joseph), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Left to cherish Josephine's legacy are her daughter Maryanne Cole and son-in-law Russ Ausburn; nieces Elizabeth Tosti (Bobby), Catherine States (Bill), Joan Bellerby; and Joy Kajkowski (Larry).

To honor the life of Josephine Lavrigata, a gathering will take place on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Galzerano Funeral Home located, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. The funeral service will commence at 12 p.m., followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery. 

May she rest in peace as her spirit lives on through those who hold her dear.
