Joseph J. McMahon, age 65, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, on September 9, 2026 with his loving wife of 41 years and son by his side. Born on July 27, 1961, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Joseph was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished son and brother, and a loyal friend to many.
Joseph was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in his work in the custodial department of the Neshaminy School District. Known for his strong work ethic, dependable nature, and kind heart, he earned the respect and friendship of his colleagues and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Outside of work, Joseph found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan and loved spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed taking walks, riding his bicycle through local parks, and appreciating the beauty and peace of nature. He also held fond memories of his visits to Niagara Falls, Canada, a place he truly loved.
Above all, Joseph treasured his family and the time they shared together. He was the beloved husband of Deborah McMahon; loving father of Joseph McMahon, Jr. and his wife, Rachel; and proud grandfather of Chester and Collins McMahon. His grandchildren brought tremendous happiness and joy to his life, and the love he had for his family was at the heart of everything he did.
Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Warren McMahon; his father, Robert McMahon; and his brother, Patrick McMahon. He is survived by his mother, Sally Petrino McMahon; his sister, Lisa Warner and her husband, Brian; his brothers, Bobby McMahon and Michael McMahon and his wife, Christine; as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will remember him with love.
Friends and family are invited to join in honoring and celebrating the life of Joseph McMahon on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Galzerano Funeral Home in Levittown. Viewing hours begin at 6:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 8:00 PM. All are welcome to come together to remember, honor, and celebrate a life so deeply cherished. Interment will be private at Resurrection Cemetery.
Joseph will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and especially in the lives of those he loved most.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
