Joan H. (Wagner) Cianciosi passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ. She was 91. Joan was born and raised in Orange, NJ and attended Our Lady of the Valley High School. She worked at Bell Labs in NYC as a secretary, and also at The Advocate in E. Orange. In 1979, she started working at Picatinny Arsenal where she worked for 15 years, and where she met her second husband, Angelo. After she retired, she moved to Bristol, PA. Joan was a member of the Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute of Philadelphia. She was also a board member of Child Abuse Prevention Effort (C.A.P.E.), and a member of the International Association of Lion’s Club of Bristol. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with family and friends. She was a strong woman with a kind soul and had a witty sense of humor. She always greeted everyone with a smile.
Joan is predeceased by her parents, John and Nellie (Rush) Wagner, her husband, Angelo, her brother, John Wagner, her sister, Delores Wagner, and her granddaughter, Sarah. She is survived by her children, Catherine (Steven) Vail, Patricia (Robert) Parise, Mary (Gordon) Helck, Loren Greco, Stephen Greco and Robert (Gina) Greco, grandchildren Raymond Vail, Ryan Vail, Noah Helck, Sabrina Helck, Daniel Greco, Kayla (Brandon) Keifer, Lauren (Ryan) Brown, Marisa (Andrew) Petrucelli, 8 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Barbara Wagner, as well as nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 10 – 11 am St Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA 19007. Funeral mass will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
