Jerry Maurio, Sr., of Bristol, Pa passed away peacefully in his home on January 9, 2022. He was 88. Born in Trenton, NJ, Jerry resided in Bristol with his family for most of his life and was an active parishioner of St. Ann Parish.
Jerry was multitalented. A Barber and Sales Manager in his early career later to become a master craftsman in Carpentry. He took great pride in his craft and as a result built an exceptional reputation. His passion was not just in his carpentry. In 1979 he chose to display his love for his daughter by singing at her wedding. Never would he imagine that it would have launched his singing career. With his most precious gift he spent next several years singing at venues in the Greater Philadelphia area, Atlantic City, and many shows at the Bristol Riverside Theater.
Jerry loved spending time with his close friends sharing his life stories. He had a special gift of making people laugh and the ability to draw you in which made it hard to leave. His friends will always remember the way he made them feel.
Jerry is predeceased by his parents, Luigi, and Angelina (Vitterito) Maurio. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Helen of 68 years; his two children Angela Maurio of Malvern and Jerry Maurio, Jr. and his wife Joanne Maurio of Doylestown; his sister Jean Bencivengo and her two daughters, Cynthia and Cathy from Bordertown, NJ; his niece and nephew Patricia and Paul Cortesini of Hamilton, NJ; his nephew Sam Drabik of Yardley; his nieces, Antonia Weiss of Doylestown; Julie Mariani of Willingboro, NJ, and Ida Mariani of Burlington, NJ; his cousin Mike Maurio of Trenton; and many friends.
Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Thursday January 20th, 2022 at St Ann Church 357 Dorrance St. Bristol Pa 19007 from 9-10am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am. Interment will follow in St. Marks Cemetery.
