Jane Plocharski, age 92, of Yardley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Artis Senior Living in Yardley.
Born on March 4, 1934, in Poland, Jane was the daughter of the late Jan and Wladislawa Skorupka. She later made her home in Philadelphia, Fairless Hills, and finally Yardley, where she devoted her life to her family and her work.
Jane was a skilled dressmaker who worked for many years in the garment industry. She took great pride in her work and was known for her talent, attention to detail, and strong work ethic. Above all, Jane was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with those she loved.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Plocharski, and her parents, Jan and Wladislawa Skorupka and siblings Mania, Irena, and Henryk.
She is survived by her loving children, Lydia Rohr (husband Edward) and Henry Plocharski Jr. (wife Kelly); and her cherished grandchildren, Edward Rohr, Kevin Plocharski, and Amanda Plocharski.
Family and friends are invited to attend Jane's viewing on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
Jane will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love and dedication to her family will remain in their hearts forever. She was known for her infectious joy, even in light of a difficult childhood during World War II, and she touched everyone who knew her. Jane loved her work as a dressmaker, and even after retirement, her passion for fashion never faded. As a tribute to Jane, the family welcomes mourners to wear something colorful or something that brings them joy, rather than traditional somber black. Jane also adored all her furry “grandbabies,” including the newest addition, Leo, who was adopted from the Women’s Animal Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020, or online at womensanimalcenter.org.
