Gerald "Jerry" Kaplan Pirato of South Philadelphia died Friday, April 17, 2020. He was 84. He is survived by daughters Elisa (Dr. Bruce) Carnivale, Jill (Gary) Feldman, son Joel Aaron and sister Rebecca Lamb-Barrow of Arizona. He was a proud Grandfather to his beautiful grandchildren. He was the son of the late Ernest and Rose Kaplan Pirato also of Philadelphia. He proudly served his country as an officer in the Army. As his high school's Valedictorian, he went on to graduate from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences. He worked as a Textile Engineer until his retirement. A lover of music, he was an accomplished jazz saxophone player. A huge Philadelphia sports fanatic, he was thrilled to have witnessed the Philadelphia Eagles win the Superbowl!
