Frank A DeSumma

May 9, 1951 — February 1, 2024

Frank A. DeSumma (Doc), 72 died peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at his home in Levittown, PA surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Violet. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Mary Ann and his two children Gary Bennett (Erika) and daughter Christine (Don and Justin). He was also grandfather to four grandchildren Kole, Courtney, Sabrina, and Michael. He also leaves behind his siblings Cathy (Andy), Robert (Ann) and Barry (Donna) as well as his sisters-in-law Bernadette and Kathy (Malcolm), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frank was a decorated Vietnam Vet who was badly wounded serving his country as a medic and received two Purple Hearts. Frank never let his injuries hinder his love of life. He was always there for everyone as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Anyone who met Frank knew that he was larger than life and would step up and do whatever you needed him to do no matter how big or small. Many if not all of us have our "Frank stories" that will live on long after his passing. Although we have to say goodbye here on earth your spirit and stories will live on in each of us that had the honor of knowing you. Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, April 5, 2024, from 12 - 1 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Words of Remembrance will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery under the direction of Galazerano funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Frank to Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
