Dorothea Stampone

Dorothea Farruggio Stampone of Bensalem formerly of Bristol, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 18,2022 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA surrounded by her loving family.   Born and raised in Bristol Borough with five sisters and three brothers they lived in a small row home where there was an abundance of love and happiness. Dora was a graduate of Bristol High School Class of 1944. Shortly after graduation she started working for her father’s trucking company as an office administrative assistant, a job that she truly loved, for 45 years. She lived a wonderful life married to the love of her life Joseph Stampone. Dora was a devoted and lifelong member of St Ann Church. She was a fabulous cook who enjoyed making meals for anyone who would stop by. She once made 500 meatballs for the Bristol Italian Festival. Her cooking was enjoyed by all. She was a quiet woman who carried a big stick.  Her three favorite things were family, faith, and food. 

She is survived by her daughter Connie Stampone Arrivello and her husband Frank Arrivello her granddaughter Kristin Arrivello, her grandson Frank Arrivello, and his wife Joy, two great grandchildren Theodore and Jaime Arrivello, her loving brother Joseph Farruggio, Jr, and loving sister-in-law Joan Stampone. She is preceded in death by her husband and her mother and father Giuseppe and Maria Farruggio, her baby brothers Salvatore and Antonio, brothers Samuel and Anthony Farruggio, her sisters Angelina Marino, Eva Passanante, Carmella Gervasio, and Jenny Mama. Also nephew Nicholas Marino and nieces Roseann Palmer and Jenny Maria Mama. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 9:30 - 11 am at St Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA 19007.  Funeral mass will begin at 11 am.  Interment will follow at St Mark Cemetery.
