Daniel Joseph Dwyer, Sr. was a caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, teacher, coach, mentor, and friend. He joined the angels in heaven on May 19, 2021 at age 75.
Born on November 12, 1945, in Philadelphia he was son of the late Edward L. and Ellen (McClain) Dwyer. A graduate from St Joseph’s University, with a master’s from Villanova, Dan became a teacher at Father Judge High School and was lovingly nicknamed “Dangerous Dan” by his students. He positively impacted the lives of many young men during his 42 years of teaching. Dan loved spending time coaching his boys in soccer, baseball, and basketball, and attending games with his sons. He also enjoyed spending time traveling with his loving companion, Beth Boyle.
In addition to Beth, he is survived by his children, Daniel J Dwyer, Jr. of Feasterville, James M. Dwyer and his wife, April (Guarinello) Dwyer of Indialantic, FL, his stepdaughter Laureen (Boyle) Mieczkowski and her husband Steve Mieczkowski of Bristol, PA, and his grandchildren Elliana, Jimmy, Alexa and Kyra. He was predeceased by his brothers Edward Dwyer and Joseph Dwyer.
Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 9:45 – 10:30 am at St Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will be held private by family.
Keeping with CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks are mandated indoors and outdoors.
