Audrey M Caputa

Audrey M, Caputa, age 64, of Bristol, PA left this world all too young on January 2, 2024, after a sudden and brief illness.

Audrey was born on May 15, 1959, in Yeadon PA to the late Alfred and Adeline Masciocchi.  She graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School and Villanova University and spent her career at the University of Pennsylvania.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Thomas Caputa, her brother Al (wife Cathy) Masciocchi of West Hartford CT and her brother Art (wife Joanne) Masciocchi of Berlin NJ, her step-sons Daryl Platt and TJ (Megan) Caputa, her grandchildren who she adored, Deia Platt, Drake Platt, Charlotte Caputa, and Trey Caputa as well as numerous other in-laws and cousins.  Audrey was a wonderful aunt to Kate Scurlock (her husband John and children Benson and Owen), Rebecca Karos (her husband Dean and children Adeline and Phoebe), Matthew Masciocchi, Danielle Masciocchi (Bowen Reynolds), and Alana Masciocchi.  And we know Audrey was looking forward to welcoming Danielle and Bowen’s baby who is due any day now.

In all her roles – wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, aunt, and friend – she was loving, generous, and selfless, most especially so in her role as daughter.  She took wonderful and loving care of both her mother and father through their illnesses and old age, sacrificing much of her own life for them.  Now she is back with them.

Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 9 – 10:30  am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 South Sproul Road, Springfield PA 19064.
