Antonia Ostrowski, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born to the late Antonio DeFranco and Mary DeFranco, Antonia lived a life filled with love, devotion, hard work, and family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert Ostrowski, Sr.; her daughter, Adrienne Martinez and her wife, Jessica; her son, Robert Ostrowski, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne; and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew and Grace Ostrowski. She is also survived by her siblings, Gina Hinkle and Jack Agnew, Donald DeFranco and his wife, Pat; along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Antonia's faithful canine companion of 16 years, Monroe, will also miss being by her side.
Antonia touched many lives throughout her 72 years. A gifted pianist from a young age, she first shared her talent by teaching others to play. At just 16 years old, she began what would become a remarkable 53-year career at Lower Bucks Hospital. She started in the Laboratory and Pathology Department before moving to Radiology, where she worked her way through the ranks and eventually became manager. Her dedication, loyalty, and kindness left a lasting impression on her coworkers, many of whom became close friends.
While Antonia was deeply dedicated to her work, she will be remembered most for the love she gave as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her life with Bob began when he first saw her while visiting a neighbor. As the family lovingly says, "Bob chased her until she caught him." After Bob honorably served his country during the Vietnam War, he and Antonia were married on August 2, 1975. In 1977, they purchased their lifelong family home in Bristol Borough, where they built a beautiful life together.
Antonia and Bob were blessed with their daughter, Adrienne, in November of 1979, and their son, Robert, in November of 1983. Together, they worked incredibly hard to provide their children with a Catholic school education and supported them as they pursued their goals. Their loving marriage served as a shining example to their children and family.
The family continued to grow when Robert Jr. married Suzanne in October of 2009, followed by the births of Antonia's beloved grandchildren, Matthew in 2012 and Grace in 2013. Matt and Grace were blessed with endless snuggles, kisses, and love from their Nonna and Pop Pop. In August of 2014, Adrienne married her wife, Jessica, adding even more joy to the family.
Antonia was a true Italian matriarch. She made sure everyone's belly was full, especially with meatballs, gravy, and whoopie pies. Her love was felt in every hug, kiss, cheer, laugh, and unforgettable one-liner. Her warmth, humor, and devotion will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend Antonia's visitation on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10:00 to11:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church 357 Dorrance St Bristol Pa 19007.
