Angelo Borges, a dedicated educator and cherished family man, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Echelon Care & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 2, 1939, in Pakistan, Angelo's journey through life was marked by a profound commitment to education and the welfare of his community.
As Vice Principal, Angelo devoted his career to shaping the minds and hearts of countless students. His leadership and passion for teaching left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of learning under his guidance. Angelo's dedication to education extended beyond the classroom; he served as a mentor and a source of inspiration to both students and colleagues alike, emphasizing the importance of kindness and respect in all endeavors.
Angelo will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Rita Borges (nee Fernandes), and their children, Sharlene Pereira (Titus), Stafford Borges (Patricia) and Suzanna (Jason). He also leaves behind the cherished memory of his late parents, Joe and Anna Marie Borges, who instilled in him the values that he carried throughout his life. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, located at 2000 Shelmire Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19152, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A mass celebrating Angelo's life will follow at the same location at 10:30 AM. Afterward, he will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
Angelo leaves behind a legacy of love, leadership, and learning that will continue to inspire future generations. His kind spirit and unwavering dedication to family and education will be profoundly missed.
