Andrew F. 'Drew' Berkelbach, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 surrounded by family. A proud veteran, devoted public servant, and loving father, grandfather, and uncle, Drew will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and sense of duty. Born on November 30, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, Drew was the son of Dorothy Deane (Mclaughlin) and Andy Berkelbach, both deceased. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, James Mclaughlin (also deceased), and was a brother to James and Edward Mclaughlin. Drew honorably served in the United States Marine Corps with the 3rd Recon Battalion, A Company, stationed in Okinawa. From 1958 to 1961, he served three years of active duty as a squad leader with the rank of Sergeant. He was a trained scuba diver, a demolition expert, and held top secret clearance while serving as a general's guard at Camp Lejeune North Carolina. After his military service, Drew returned to Philadelphia and served with pride in the Philadelphia Police Department for eight years. Drew eventually settled in Bucks County, where he raised his family and began a long career at U.S. Steel, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 2002.

He was formerly married to JoAnn Berkelbach (nee Stavitski) with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Ann Browning and his son, Andrew J. Berkelbach. He was a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren (Stephanie, Kyrsten, Kaitlyn, and Jarrett) and one great grandchild (Mykenna).
