Agnes M. Oscovitch of Levittown, PA passed away comfortably in her home Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in the company of the family that loved her dearly. She was 92.
While she was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a son Richard and her siblings, her stories about them kept their memories alive and grounded her strength. Now, we, her children Rob and Rosanne and grandchildren Ansel, Jake, Austin, Jeri, and Luke, nieces, nephews, numerous extended family, and friends will do the same for her. Aggie, as those close to her called her, was born and grew up in Freeland, PA before moving to Levittown, PA in 1954 after marriage. A Levittown original, she witnessed many changes over those nearly seven decades in the community. Many changes and yet her home was a constant source of kindness, love, and warmth for family and neighbors.
Working in the Levittown Shopping Center’s bank (the bank name would change over the years but Agnes always the teller), kept her sharp with numbers. Her career in finance would inspire her numerical passions including sudoku puzzles, penny slot machines, and card games. She especially enjoyed pinochle games and solitaire if no one was brave enough to face her. A true matriarch, she enjoyed keeping her loved ones well fed, sharply dressed (using her old Singer sewing machine), and her house tidy.
Agnes was genuine. Seated around a kitchen table or on the front patio, no topic was off limits. She had her viewpoints and expressed them readily. She was kind hearted, empathetic and took great pride in family tradition. She’d rather find things to bond over than to focus on disagreements. It was these qualities that made for a long, happy, healthy life and left those who were fortunate to have had Aggie in their lives missing her dearly.
Family wishes to thank those who provided medical oversight that allowed for 92 years of good living.
Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
